Dear Suzanne,

I want to thank you for the outstanding show you and your group produced, especially since it was your first endeavor.

What pleased me about the show was the quality of leads Techmar Enclosures booth received, not the quantity.

Of the leads we received, one lead was a sale, 5 leads were "hot", and 3 leads were "of interest".  I expect to receive at least 2 or 3 customers out of the group, and that pays for the show and gives my company profit in the future.  Most of Techmar's 1st time customers will stay with us indefinitely.

With my experience over the years with international shows like the extinct WESCON are a wasted investment.  Too many prospective customers attend these large shows just to see Disney Land or Hollywood or Las Vegas .  They collect catalogs as a proof of attendance and that is where the "leads" end.

Example:  Over the years I had booths in one of the yearly international electronic shows in the Anaheim Convention Center .  I spent over $3,000.00 for a booth and display in the last show in which I participated, gave out 300 catalogs in the 3 day period of the show, received approximately 250 leads.  I received 1 customer from this show who bought a $250.00 kit.  None of these leads were substantial enough for me to renew the next show.  No bang for the buck. 

So, I limit my participation to the regional shows like yours, and Del Mar, and one or two others.  I attended several shows that Doug produced in Phoenix . In one of his  Phoenix shows,  I received a $30,000.00 contract from a company heavy in the aero space industry.  This lead was from a regional show.
